Waiting for Guffman...

Dear Baby-blankie-binkie,

Missed almost a month and a half of catch up time with you. But it was a busy month and a half. We had 2 baby showers, one with the kula and one with your daddy's work. The kula one was very nice under a white canopy (albeit a plastic, garage cover-type canopy) next to a lake. There was bbq, your grandmother, and a bunch of kula. Your pop's work-0ne was nice as well with about 1/2 the people I used to work with and another 1/2 whom I didn't know. You got all your baby registry things plus some.

Then on August 13, your kula brother Rohan Sudarshan was born. Right on schedule and in almost no time at all. He's been around for 3 weeks and sometimes I've been holding him and you've been kicking him (lightly) in the back. You hear mommy singing to him sometimes but most of the time, I'm singing to you. We're learning a lot from Rohan's mommy and daddy through their experience but every baby is different so we will learn more from you actually :)

Here is a picture of Rohan:

So now we're 2 weeks away from the "medical" due date so we'll see. The day Rohan was born, mommy's belly felt really heavy and I was worried that you might be making an early appearance (you still had 1 week to go before it was "safe"). But you're hanging in there and moving your little booty right and left. Your little head is down but not quite dropped into my pelvis.

Mom will be going to a chiro tomorrow to make sure the pelvis is lined up just right to accomodate you and clear some channels to give you the thumbs up that it's ok. We're still hoping for a home birth but just like all the other things I am trying not to have expectation about - we shall see what happens.

In the meantime, we go through our day-to-day just waiting. Very excited to meet you little friend. Please come soon!

Love,
Mummy
